Arrival Munich – Departure Munich
Day 1 – Arrival in Munich
Arrival in Munich, the capital of Bavaria and one of Germany’s most beautiful cities. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a first stroll through the historic center, with its impressive Marienplatz, the New Town Hall and the famous Frauenkirche. The evening is free to relax and enjoy Bavarian hospitality. Overnight in Munich.
Day 2 – Munich – Neuschwanstein – Austrian Tyrol
Begin the day with a sightseeing tour of Munich, discovering highlights such as Marienplatz, the Viktualienmarkt, the Royal Residence and the elegant avenues of the city center. Continue to the fairytale world of King Ludwig II and visit magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle, dramatically situated in the Bavarian Alps. Afterwards, travel south across the spectacular Alpine landscape into Austria and check into your resort hotel in the Tyrol. Enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by mountains.
Day 3 – BEST OF INNSBRUCK: Sparkling Installations, Alpine Panorama & Tyrolean Traditions
Discover Innsbruck – THE CAPITAL OF THE ALPS - and its impressive combination of historic architecture and Alpine scenery. Visit Swarovski Crystal Worlds, a fascinating world of sparkling art, design and crystal installations. Later, take the cable car up to Nordkette with the “Top of Innsbruck” and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over Innsbruck and the surrounding Tyrolean Alps. In the evening, experience the traditional Tyrolean Folk Show with the Gundolf Family featuring regional music, dancing and customs combined with a delicious local meal. Overnight in Innsbruck.
Day 4 – South Tyrol & the Dolomites – Seceda
Today’s journey takes you across the Alps into Italy’s South Tyrol, where Austrian and Italian cultures meet. Travel through spectacular mountain scenery into the legendary Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape famous for its dramatic limestone peaks. The highlight is a visit to Seceda, renowned for its spectacular panoramic views and distinctive mountain ridges. Enjoy time to admire the scenery, take photographs and experience the unique atmosphere of this extraordinary Alpine region before returning to your Tyrolean resort.
Day 5 – Salzburg & Berchtesgaden Salt Mine
Travel to Salzburg, the enchanting birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Explore the historic Old Town, admire Salzburg Cathedral, stroll along the Getreidegasse and enjoy views of Hohensalzburg Fortress. Continue to nearby Berchtesgaden for an exciting visit to the historic salt mine, where an underground journey reveals the fascinating world of salt mining. The combination of Salzburg’s elegant architecture and the subterranean adventure in the Bavarian Alps makes this a memorable day excursion.
Day 6 – Krimml Waterfalls & Zillertal Steam Train
Experience two highlights of the Austrian Alps. First, visit the spectacular Krimml Waterfalls, Austria’s highest waterfalls, cascading through a dramatic mountain landscape. Enjoy a walk to viewpoints offering impressive views of the falls and surrounding peaks. Continue into the Zillertal Valley, one of Tyrol’s most scenic valleys, where a nostalgic steam train ride provides a charming journey through the Alpine countryside. Return to your resort hotel in the evening, filled with impressions of mountains, waterfalls and traditional Tyrolean landscapes.
Day 7 – Hall in Tirol – Gramai – Achensee – Munich
Leave the Tyrol and begin the scenic journey back towards Munich. Stop in the historic town of Hall in Tirol, known for its medieval old town and charming narrow streets. Continue to Gramai in the Alpenpark Karwendel for lunch amid spectacular Alpine scenery. Afterwards, visit beautiful Lake Achensee, often called the “Tyrolean Sea,” and enjoy a relaxing lake cruise surrounded by impressive mountain peaks. Continue to Munich in the late afternoon/evening. Overnight in Munich, depending on the departure schedule.
Day 8 – Ingolstadt Village & Departure
Before departure, enjoy some time at Ingolstadt Village, an attractive open-air shopping destination featuring numerous international and designer brands. It is an ideal opportunity for some last-minute shopping in a pleasant village-style setting. Afterwards, continue to Munich Airport for your departure flight, bringing your unforgettable journey through Bavaria, the Austrian Tyrol, the Dolomites and Salzburg to an end.
